The children listened carefully to the policeman who told them about the importance of how to behave on the street. Looking both ways before crossing the streets, respecting traffic lights and wearing helmets and knee pads when riding on a bicycle were some of his suggestions. He also talked about the different traffic signs they can see around them and gave the meaning of the most important ones. Children were able to experience being both pedestrians and drivers in a miniature city. They really enjoyed this experience as they were able to dramatize situations they are exposed to on a daily basis.
The day was very warm so we took advantage of Punta Chica’s premises and used their sprinklers to have fun. The children had brought their bathing suits and towels so they could run around, wet themselves, dance, play with water and laugh!
Thank you very much to the school authorities from Punta Chica, A.P.E.S.A and San Isidro Municipality for giving the children the chance to learn and have fun all in one day!
We invite you to see more of this wonderful outing in our Photo Gallery!
