Planting rocket lettuce
The morning Bees at Olivos Kinder decided to plant rocket lettuce seeds as part of a science project they will share with the four year olds in Ma. Santísima de la Luz Kindergarten.

Wearing their gardening aprons, they got together in two groups and with both teachers they talked about all the necessary things a plant needs to grow strong and healthy. The children were saying: "Water", "the sun", "soil "(said the teacher showing them what they were going to use to plant the seeds) "and something important they need is love and care", she added.

Then one by one got a spade and started putting some soil on a special tray following the teacher's steps. Then they dropped a few seeds each, being very careful in covering them with a thin layer of soil.

Once they finished, the teachers put a sign on the tray, "Rocket Lettuce", telling them that from now on they were going to look after the seeds and later on the plants so as to be able to eat them in a delicious salad once they harvested them and took them home.
