The children who attend the extended timetable enjoyed a lovely day in the garden beside their classroom.
First they went to the playground to see the liquid amber tree and its seeds. They saw that the leaves had grown since their last observation and they could also see that the liquid amber seeds were green. They quickly understood that they were beginning to grow.
Once in the classroom the teacher explained the activity. She showed them brown liquid amber seeds they had collected at the beginning of the year. They had to dip the seeds in different bowls with watery coloured paint and then twirl them around on the yellow card. As it is a fun and messy activity and due to the wonderful weather, they all went outside and were able to create different designs, using things from our natural environment.
After this, they played with blocks, building different structures, some chose to make a zoo and others decided to make a house for the Three Little Pigs. The funny thing was that when they were asked about it, they had changed their mind and said it was a flat and invented an ending for the story: the three little pigs who lived in a flat were travelling in a plane and going to Miami!!!
We hope you enjoy the photos!
