The purpose was to paint like Claude Monet an artist they had learnt about during this year.
We took profit from the lovely garden and pond they have and the children were able to paint the water lilies just as Claude Monet did long time ago.
When we arrived to the place, they were fascinated at the green grass and lovely trees; it was a beautiful sunny day. They rushed to the pond and they were excited when they saw tadpoles swimming around. Then they saw the water lilies and were amazed as they had never seen them before.
We organized them in small groups, they each had a cardboard with a white paper stuck on it and a big tray full of paint of different colours. They also had little pots with water so as to rinse their paintbrushes. They were anxious to start and they all made wonderful productions.
When they finished painting they had crackers and water and they started playing different games all along the beautiful garden.
It was a unique experience and a very special opportunity to recreate what Claude Monet must have felt when painting the water lilies at his pond in Giverny.
Congratulations Whales!!! Your work was great!!
We would like to specially thank the people in UdeSA who made this possible and to all the mothers who came with us and helped us in this activity.
