In the last week of March Year 10 Geography students spent 3 days in Mar del Plata to gain practical field work experience, essential for their IGCSE Paper 4. Over 3 days, students completed a variety of investigations on:
- Beach profiles, waves and long shore drift
- River velocity and depths
- Urban land use
- Population surveys
After each investigation students applied their new skills to past exam questions. They worked hard, ending the trip with a geographical Easter egg hunt! All students were excellent representatives for St Andrew's, polite, friendly, and conscientious and yet fun. A special thank you to Keith Thorogood and Jonatan Olmos for accompanying and for all their hard work.
