On the 18th -20th April, year 12 IB Geography students went to El Palmar, Entre Rios. This beautiful location is a great environment for students to begin their internal assessment work. During the 3 days there, each class collected river data, microclimate data, investigated the ecological footprints of different communities and went canoeing. The staff at La Aurora camping site gave an interesting evening lecture on the local flora and fauna and important issues facing environmental conservation in Argentina.
I would like to thank parents for their support, students for their hard work and a special thank you to Silvina Galindo, Silvia Rios and Keith Thorogood for their continual support and encouragement of students throughout the trip.
