In the Ducklings class we love pretending and dressing up!
As well as having fun, we learn a lot at the same time!

Last week Miss Carla took us to the “junk room”, a place where the teachers keep different kind of waste material such as  yogurt pots, jars, different boxes, cloths, food packagies etc.  She let us choose lots of things to play with in the classroom. With these things  we collected  we thought we could pretend to be having a birthday party, so we decorated the classroom. We made special crowns for the guests, we set the table using bright plates, plastic glasses and birthday napkins.

Using eggs cartons , play-dough and used candles we pretended to bake a birthday cake.

After all the preparations we bring  up some colourful balloons, “got dressed up“ , sang Happy Birthday and “ate “ the cake.

Dramatic play helps develop:

Creativity, knowledge of how the world works, problem-solving skills, emotional strength , oral Language skills, focus and concentration,  cooperation with others.
