The Puppies and the Bunnies have been learning about farm animals. To get into the topic, the children worked on very interesting activities, like dramatizing songs, playing games, dramatizing with stuffed farm animals, oral activities with images, making puppets and many more. Finally they were able to visit a real farm! The children were very excited to go and eager to get to know the animals.
As soon as we arrived, a guide introduced herself and took us straight to the kitchen to prepare bread. She showed us the ingredients, gave out a bit of dough to each child and they were able to knead for a while. Then the bread rolls were ready to go into the oven, so the children and the teachers followed the guide and walked around the farm. There was a lovely vegetable garden with different plants and crops and we were able to see many different farm animals such as cows, horses, a donkey, ducks, hens, pigs, piglets, chicks and goats.
What the children enjoyed the most was being able to feed some of those animals and feel how the animals' tongue tickled their hands!
They were very happy with the outing and they had a lovely time!
We would like to thank all the mothers who came with us for their invaluable help!
You can see more of the farm in our Photo Gallery!!
