Learning letters
The children in the preschool class learn two or three letter sounds per week.

This time the Whales learnt about the “o” sound and all its tricks.

They thought of words beginning with that sound and when the word Olivos came up they were explained why Olivos is called like that.

In order to reinforce the sound and have a different kind of activity they all had an orange for snack. Miss Andy made a little hole in the orange and they were all excited with the idea of drinking the juice.

Some children who said they did not like the orange once they tried it they changed their minds and enjoyed the juice as well.

Afterwards we all went to the compost bin to throw the oranges skin.

Not only we learnt a new letter but we are also helping our environment by throwing the skin in the compost bin.

We invite you to see our photos!!
