Beautiful lilypads
As a part of our yearly project on painters, we started investigating about Claude Monet.

We learnt he had a very particular way of painting, using small stokes which then represented landscapes.

We first started painting like him in the classroom, and then went on a visit to St. Andrew´s University where we enjoyed observing the beautiful lilypads in the pond and painting them. Although it was a very sunny and hot day, we took our time to paint under the shadow of the trees.

We then went to visit the library, where Fran's mother, Lucila, who teaches at the University, read us the of the Gruffalo.  We were all delighted to hear the story in such a lovely setting.
