Now, Tigers and Kangaroos know everything about minibeasts
Tigers and Kangaroos have been learning about ladybugs, grasshoppers, and bees!

We were very surprised by the fact that drones, the males of the beehive, don´t work much, and that the workers are females and are in charge of gathering polen and nectar.

Other interesting facts are that they communicate by dancing, and that they make the honey by flapping their wings to make the nectar thicker.

The children prepared their own bees out of corks and with a wax rectangle and a candlewick they made their own candle.

The Tigers baked some honey cookies and invited the Kangaroos for a special snack.

Although our project on minibeasts has to come to end, our excitement when we are looking for them in the playground hasn´t declined at all.
